Vintage Copper Pot of Zvartnots, Armenian Copper Pot, Antique Copper Pot with Pomegranate and an Eagle
Antique vintage copper pot made from Armenia in the 1970s or even early in the 1960s. The pot has the writing of Zvartnots with some pomegranates, grapes and an eagle.
Zvartnots Cathedral built by the order of Catholicos Nerses the Builder from 643-652. Now in ruins, it is located at the edge of the city of Vagharshapat (Etchmiadzin) in Armavir Province of Armenia.
The eagle was the symbol of the Artaxiad Dynasty and later on the symbol of the Arsacid Dynasty of Armenia.
The pomegranate is one of the most recognizable symbols of the country. In Armenian mythology it symbolizes fertility and good fortune. It was a guardian against the evil eye.
