These paper dolls portray three generations of family during the turbulent Civil War Era. Illustrator Tom Tierney has meticulously researched and rendered four sets of period attire for each doll -work clothes, day wear, winter clothes and wedding finery. The 36 authentic costumes are further enhanced by Tom Tierney's well-researched and scrupulously accurate text which supplies fascinating details about apparel, fabrics, accessories, hairstyles and more. Together they offer fashion and costume historians a precise, full-color view of the prevailing fashions and trends of the late eighteenth century. This book is Approx 9 1/4 inches wide and approx 12 1/4 inches tall. This book Brand New, uncut with no writing, torn or missing pages. Some storage wear on cover. It does have two staple holes on the front cover. We purchased a packet of faux money which the clerk stapled to the front.
