Offered is all peices in a single lot. I am not an philatelist, although when I was much younger I did get caught up in the desire of stamp colletcing. I had quite a collection that if I had held on to would have been pretty valuable now. So upon attending an sale some 50 or so years ago I came across several lots of various stamp sets and won the bid on them. As this is not an area of my expertise and I am at the point in life of downsizing, I thought it a good idea to give a younger person a head start in the field. This lot is a collection of 40 FIRST DAY COVERS in honor of The United States First Ladies. All envelopes as you can see in the pictures have been cancelled but not all were addressed. It isn't likely they've ever seen the inside of a mail box. There is an insert of particulars for each of the covers detailing some of what that particular lady championed. Additionally I comprised a list of the stamps for each envelope you may find helpful in deterining th value , including the original date of issue, the earliest I spotted being 1933. If the purchaser wishes i couild send a link of all First ladies with a much nicer color portrait and detaled biography that can be downloaded to an 8.5 x 11' sheet if you wish to enhance the collection. This is not my area of expertise so for all I know you could find a single stamp here worth the total cost. I'm rooting for you. I haven't the time to do the research so I would prefer to see another collector reep the benefit of my windfall.
