(1) NATIONAL LEAD 25 LEAD INGOT WITH BOTH TOP HALF AND BOTTOM HALF TOTAL WEIGHT 8 pounds 14 ounces MANUFACTURED BY NATIONAL LEAD COMPANY . THIS IS AN AGED ITEM, likely 20+ YEARS OLD, likely FROM THE 1990s, PULLED FROM OLD PLUMBERS TOOLS IN THE BASEMENT, LIKELY USED BACK IN THE DAY TO SET A COMMODE IN THE FLOOR. THE PLUMBER WOULD MELT DOWN A BATCH OF LEAD, THEN POUR IT INTO THE HOLE IN THE FLOOR TO INSTALL THE COMMODE SET SCREWS. THIS HEAVY LEAD PIECE INCLUDES BOTH TOP HALF AND BOTTOM HALF WHICH ARE CONNECTED IN THE REAR BY A MOLDED LEAD "hinge" TO FORM A SINGLE HEAVY AND ROUND CYLINDER OF LEAD (see pictures of the manufacturers hinge on back), MANUFACTURED BY NATIONAL LEAD COMPANY, A LEAD SMELTING COMPANY.
