*These molds are unique to Yellow Rock Pottery located in Philadelphia, PA and were made during the mid-1800's. During this period, kilns were fired at low temperatures resulting in less durably pottery than was possible by the end of the 1800's. Early yellow ware was easily damaged from use, why they might be rare. A photo of Yellow Rock miniature molds and their price value can be found on page 42 in Lisa McAllister's Book, Collector's Guide to Yellow Ware.
