Descripción del Artículo
This is an original belt buckle made by Plata de Jalisco. It is a mixed metal piece of sterling silver and 18k yellow gold. The main frame is sterling while the Aztec Calendar and accents are gold. It weighs 32.7 grams in total; which most of their pure sterling buckles weigh about 26 grams, I estimate there?s about 6 or 7 grams of 18k on it. There is no value in melting it down unless you can separate the pieces.
This is a very rare piece and it is museum quality for its maker. This is serialized as number 71. Its authenticity can be traced to the hallmarks including its use of the first smithing from them: Eagle 50.
