Matching Pair of Vintage 1958 Kipp Stewart Barrel Dining Accent Wood and Leather Arm Chairs
Rare pair of solid wood Kipp Stewart barrel armchairs dated April, 1958.
Each measures 29" H x 21" W x 22.5" D.
The seat measures 17" H x 18" W x 16" D.
The arm height is 26.5".
The underside of each of the chairs denotes: "by Drexel" and "4/58".
The bronze metal tie from arm to seat is a subtle statement of structure, making them possibly attributable to designer Kipp Stewart, who often incorporated details such as metal accents.
Features include curved arms and back-rest of solid bentwood, not plywood. Doweling in the legs and stanchions is standout.
The black leather upholstery is most likely original and in beautiful condition.
This pair of chairs is in excellent vintage condition which is appropriate from age appropriate wear and tear. They are in excellent structural condition with no give to the legs.
