Vintage 1960s Solo work lamp by HBH of Denmark. This sturdy little lamp was made in the 1960s by H Bodtcher Hansen (HBH) A/S of Denmark and is entitled Solo. As the 1968 advert reproduced here explains, the lamp's adjustable telescopic arm and fully swivelling reflector head provide for numerous set-ups and applications. It is particularly useful as a work lamp and has two intensity settings, offering normal and extra-bright lighting. The lamp has a weighted base so is stable on the table even when the arm is extended to its full 41cm (16-inch) length, and alternatively has hanging holes on its base for use as a wall light. Folded down the lamp measures just 6.5 x 17cm (2.5 x 6.5 inches) so is compact to store away when not in use. It takes a 12v bayonet bulb. Comes with its original EU two-pin plug.
