The plates from late nineties are more valuable, because they were not made as many as earlier - as well the first ones. Those naive pictures were designed by Raija Uosikkinen. The patterns base on the stories of Kalevala - The Finnish Epic containing very old stories as a special form of poems or songs. On the backside of each plate appears a specific poem in English too. Kalevala collectible wall plates were made of heavy and durable stoneware.
