What a wonderful piece of history! The beautifully crafted antique ice box refrigerator is made to last! So heavy, so sturdy and probably still excellent at keeping things cold! There are a few niggles here and there - this would make a great restoration piece or it could be used as display or even great dry storage for valuables.
I have provided close up pictures of the damage to the door on the right (looks like the handle + attached wood was once broken off and then repaired) and above of the top hinge of the small door on the top left. There is also significant rust present in the back left corner of the top left cabinet (see close up photo).
Due to the size of this piece, delivery will be arranged via Uship personal courier. Shipping costs range from $150 to $500 depending on distance from Central Illinois. Rush delivery is available and local collection is always an option. Please message us for a custom quote.
