CARSIL is a non-prescribed Sopharma medicinal product containing silymarin, which is used for the symptomatic treatment of chronic toxic liver damage; for maintenance treatment in patients with chronic inflammatory diseases of the liver and liver cirrhosis. The active substance in Carsil, silymarin, is isolated from the fruit of the plant white thorn. Silymarin activates protein and phospholipid synthesis in damaged liver cells, stabilizes their cell membranes, binds free radicals (antioxidant action). Its main action is to protect the liver cells from the harmful effects of various factors such as alcohol, medicines, viral infections, industrial pollutants. In the case of damage to the liver cells, it promotes their faster recovery. What Carsil contains Each capsule contains 163.6 - 225 mg of dry extract of milk thistle fruit (Silybi mariani fructus extractumsiccum) (35-50: 1), eq. of 90 mg silymarin, as silibinin (HPLC). The other ingredients are: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, wheat starch, povidone K25, polysorbate 80; silica, colloidal anhydrous; mannitol, crospovidone, sodium bicarbonate, magnesium stearate. Capsule contents: amorphous powder with pale yellow to brownish color, with a faint specific odor. 10 capsules in a blister of PVC / aluminum foil; 3 blisters in a cardboard box, together with a leaflet.
