If the damper solenoid can not open the draft door it will fail. Sometimes the damper solenoid just needs a little help. The problem can be eliminated, or greatly reduced, by the installation of this spring-assisted solenoid linkage. the spring-assisted feature of this linkage effectively increases the force exerted by the solenoid alone, providing more consistent draft door operation.
