It shows a mother holding her small child in front of a Christmas Tree ablaze with candles. The design was created by Gotfred Rode, a collectable artist in his own right. It is embossed on Danish porcelain and hand painted in traditional Copenhagen blue under the glaze. Diameter approximately 7 1/4 inches. Appropriately marked on the back, including the three wavy line trademark of Royal Copenhagen. Pierced foot for hanging wire.
