Originally designed as a lamp, the lighting fixture is no longer present, making it a unique decorative figurine. The scene features a four-horse team pulling a carriage with a seated driver. The figurine is beautifully hand-painted and adorned with delicate gold curlicue accents and enhancements. Adding to the scene is a lady appearing to exit the carriage, assisted by a figure who could be a gentleman or footman. The style of the clothing suggests either an American Colonial or French Provincial influence.
