Additional information: Lot of 5 vintage original watercolor paintings attributed to Georgie Robertson Nadler (Mama Georgie) (1890-1984). Paintings depict scenes in Puerto Rico. The artist illustrated for the Louisiana State University Yearbook titled Gumbo, from 1908-1911. She lived in the West Indies from 1912-1944, then later in Baton Rouge and New Orleans, Louisiana. I purchased these a number of years ago from a local variety/thrift shop, and only recently was able to identify the artist. Her name is written on the outside of the large envelope they were contained in. I will include with the purchase additional information on the artist, which I found online. These are charming paintings, painted in a style that could be described as naive art or folk realism with touches of folk realism and regionalist charm. They could be removed from the thicker paper or framed attached to the paper.
