This sale is for a preowned Vintage IZOD 1999 US OPEN Golf Tourney (on Course #2 ) short sleeved Polo Shirt in Womens sized Medium, but always refer to the measurements below. This 4 button polo shirt has the world reknowned "Putter Boy" dated emblem on the chest and notched hemline. The Fabric: 100% cotton WAFFLE Weave in blood red. BTW: Payne Stewart's Fantastic Putt won the 1999 open..(watch it on You-tube) Measurements: Chest: 38” Length from top of shoulder down: 24.25". Good condition. Thanks for looking!
TRIVIA: The "Putter Boy" patch/emblem is the symbol for Pinehurst, NC. It is everywhere. He came to be "The Golf Lad" in the early 1900's and evolved in 1970 into "The Putter Boy". He is known universally throughout the world and is probably the most famous inanimate figure in Golf. (search the web and see) Moore County (home to the revered 10 Pinehurst Resort courses) contains almost 60 -18 hole Golf links, many designed by golfing greats. But Pinehurst No 2. course SITE was the first Golf course EVER built in the USA in 1890's. For years it has been in the top 10 world ranking. Now it is ranked 16th in North America and 27th in the world. If you haven't played Pinehurst No 2, you are missing it. The place is fantastic!!!
