Stangl Kiddieware Kay Hackett Little Bo Peep and 32 similar items

UP FOR SALE: Stangl Kiddieware Little Bo Peep Cup #3826 Vintage 1953 Designer: Kay Hackett Stangl Stopped producing these patterns for the Frederik Lunning NY Company in 1952 and this Kiddieware design was re-worked and offers as a Stangl pattern. The principal changes made to this set were the colors and the shape of the cup. The original #3434 baby cup shape was replaced with the streamlined #3826 (seen above in the photos) baby shape. The colors were brightened and the wide bands on the rims were narrowed and moved to the shoulders of the plates. A narrow Orange stripe was put on the edges of the bowls and the plates. The former blue from the Lunning versions was changed to a more feminine Pink on the Little Bo Peep. These simple modifications gave the designs a more cheery aspect that seemed to be lacking in the Lunning versions. These changes made the new designs very popular throughout the 1950s and 1960s. This design was discontinued in early 1975. Cup is 2.75 inches high. Wonderful addition to a Stangl collection, or would make a lovely baby gift!
