Vintage LE Smith pink tinted glass compote measuring 8" tall and 8.25" in diameter across the top. This piece is in overall excellent condition, HOWEVER, there are a couple of small scuff marks (see last 2 photos) near the center of the bowl on the inside. The glass is not chipped or cracked, and the areas in question are smooth to the touch. Speaking as someone with almost 25 years experience with glassware, it is my opinion that these areas are either manufacturing flaws, or where something heavy and/or abrasive was once inside the bowl once upon a time. I do not feel that these "scuffs" detract from the aesthetics or functionality of the piece at all. That said, I am not the buyer, so this is just my opinion.
