Antique aluminum tin for an Illinois Watch Company pocket watch, used to pack their Sangamo Special and Bunn Special watches. Measures 3 1/6" x 2 3/8" x 1 3/32". Condition is rough: lots of dents and abrasions, and someone has scratched a date and initials (WS, I think) on it in three places. My guess is that Dad (or Grandpa, Uncle, etc) got a new watch and little W. S. was given the box to play with. I've taken lots of pictures from every angle, showing at least two views of each side so that you can assess the damage for yourself. I gave it a light cleaning; some of the marks may come off if you go at it with metal polish.
