Up for sale is a medal made by an unknown American maker to celebrate New York Music Appreciation Week. This is an award given to presumably the best piano player in the borough. It was awarded in 1924-1925, so it doesn?t look too bad for over a century of age! Found at an estate sale on Long Island.
The only other medal I can find with this design was awarded in 1934 for music theory, but it was a base metal and not sterling silver.
