Set in a sturdy plastic base, the acrylic screen displays the time, date, and temperature in large, easy-to-read numerals, and features a backlight that gently changes colors as it cycles through a series of soft blues, greens, pinks, and purples. A button on the bottom of the clock's base will trigger musical tunes each time it is pressed. The clock has an alarm with a progressive ring tone that starts with a subtle beep for the light sleeper, and graduates into a more aggressive tone with an increasing volume level that will arouse the deep sleeper when the alarm is allowed to ring uninterrupted. The clock also features a thermometer that displays the current room temperature in either farenheit or celcius degrees.
