UNSIGNED JOHNNY GRIFFIN BRONZE BLACAMOOR/AMERICANA FOLK ART 1800s, ORIGNAL AND NOT A REPRODUCTION.
THIS ITEM HAS BEEN IN MY PERSONAL COLLECTION FOR OVER 35 YEARS. THE TRAY IS VERY DETAILED OF A BLACK BOY WITH A TRAMP HAT OF THE PERIOD. THE BOY HAS A WONDERFUL SMILE AND EXPRESSION.
THERE IS NO DAMAGE, TRAY IS ALL ORIGINAL WITH GREAT PATINA, I HAVE NOT USED ANY CLEANER OR POLISH ON THE TRAY TO KEEP PATINA.
WHILE RESEARCHING THIS ITEM I FOUND THIS TO BE IN THE JOHNNY GRIFFIN STYLE AND DESIGN, AS FAR AS I FOUND FROM THIS RESEARCH I WOULD SAY IT'S HIS WORK, EVERY PART OF THIS PIECE SPEAKS OF HIS TRADE MARK STYLE. IF YOU LOOK UP HIS WORK YOU WILL SEE THAT THIS ITEM IS A EXACT REPRESENTATION OF HIS WORK, THE ONLY THING I COULD NOT FIND IS HIS SIGNATURE.
