The book is in very good condition, although there is some wear on the cover, and there are some stains on the cover. The maps are all in very good condition, intact and large size. The book was published in 1992 by The National Geographic Society, and is a sixth edition. The book is large, and measures 18.5" long and 12.25" wide when it is closed. It is a wonderful atlas book, and a wonderful collectible book of maps as well as a great coffee table book, and conversation piece.
