Vintage Ghanan African hand woven market basket with leather handle. Extra large size, approx. 17" diameter and 8 " tall.
I bought this at an estate sale, so I don't know its age.. The condition is very nice, clean, the handle is not stained from handling, so I'm not sure how often this was used, it looks very nice.. The gasket does lean forward when set down,, This actually gives a good angle for placing things inside.
Roomy, comfortable basket to carry to local markets, farmers markets,
this is lightweight but the size of the box it will need is what is pushing the shipping charge up.
