Descripción del Artículo

? Six fresh scion cuttings of Akebia quinata, also known as Chocolate Vine. Cuttings will have no leaves or roots. ? You will receive freshly cut scions wrapped in moist media, sent in a box with tracking within the United States. ? Akebia quinata is a deciduous climber that can grow up to 39 feet at a fast rate. It thrives in U.S.D.A. zones 4-8 and is not affected by frost. Flowering occurs from April to May, with seeds ripening between September and October. The plant produces both male and female flowers on the same vine. ? This versatile plant grows well in sandy, loamy, or clay soils with good drainage. It adapts to acidic, neutral, or alkaline conditions and flourishes in full shade, partial shade, or full sun. The plant prefers moist soil. ? The fruit is edible raw with a mild sweetness, sometimes enhanced with lemon juice. Its bitter skin can be fried and eaten. Young shoots are consumed in salads or pickled, while the leaves serve as a tea substitute. ? Your order will arrive in good condition. If any issues occur upon receiving order, contact us the same day with a detailed description and photos so we can assist you.
