Vintage figural lamp featuring a medieval knight in full armor with raised mace and lion-decorated shield. This cast spelter (zinc alloy) figure is identical to known examples that also appear as stand-alone statues, suggesting it was produced in both forms during the early to mid-20th century. Based on construction and style, this lamp was most likely made during the 1920s?1930s, a period when decorative spelter figural lamps were very popular in both Europe and the United States. The knight is shown in Gothic-style plate armor with a crowned helmet, a style reminiscent of late medieval / early Renaissance European knights (15th?16th century).
