Descripción del Artículo
Wow! What an incredible find for you collectors of Danish flatware. A spoon with a treasure trove of information.
Spoon is 9 inches long and weighs a hefty 60.8 grams. On the front (in Danish) is marked ?Eindring Fra Danmark? which translates to Remembrance of Denmark and the year 1910.
We know that is accurate because Christian F Heise was the assayer from 1904-1932 in Copenhagen and his mark is on the back side of the spoon along with the maker?s name.
We can also tell by the Three Castles mark that this is sterling silver and was the official mark for Copenhagen sterling in that era.
Two Castles would indicate silver plate.
We do not know the two initials but those were likely the original buyer?s initials. They sort of blend in with the pattern.
The pattern itself appears to be floral and scrolls.
Great item for a collector but this could also be used at the dinner table as a serving spoon.
What a really fun find!
Will ship USPS with tracking to winning buyer
