Descripción del Artículo

? Up for sale is a Downy Hawthorn (Crataegus mollis), 10–12 inches tall, bareroot dormant plant. Hardy in U.S.D.A. zones 4–8, this deciduous tree produces showy white flowers in spring followed by bright red fruits in fall, attracting birds and pollinators. Its attractive serrated leaves turn yellow-orange in autumn, making it a lovely addition to any landscape. ? Plant in full sun to partial shade with well-drained soil. Water regularly during the first year to establish strong roots. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. ? Ideal for streets, yards, or naturalized areas. Downy Hawthorn tolerates a range of soil types, including clay, sand, or loamy soil. It has moderate drought resilience once established and provides habitat for wildlife. ? Important! Do not use potting soil with time-released fertilizers as they are often expired and may contain dangerous levels of minerals that can burn the roots. Using time-release fertilizers is acceptable if applied carefully in spring following the dosage indicated when the plant has started growing. ? Your order will arrive in good condition. If any issues occur upon receiving order, contact us the same day with a detailed description and photos so we can assist you.
