This is the June 1950 issue of The Etude Music Magazine. I don't know who created the cover art on this one, but I like it a lot. On a solid pink background, using all black ink, the artist has drawn an intricate New York City scene depicting a huge crowd of people enjoying a concert in Central Park. The lettering on the cover is in a darker shade of pink, very cool. The article referenced on the cover, "Summer Music: U.S.A.", provides extensive information about music events in cities across the country that summer (orchestras, stadium concerts, music festivals, etc.). There's an entire piece dedicated to Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and events held there. Other pieces include "Master Your Flute Tone", "Wedding Etiquette for the Organist", and "Some Points to Remember When Choosing a Piccolo". There are also pages and pages of sheet music, and some pretty cool advertisements. Magazine is in good condition for its age, shows a little mild wear but nothing excessive. All of the pages are intact and clean, and the binding is holding up well. Asking $5.00 obo.
