During the 1950's Tove Jansson's Finnish cartoon character Moomin (Moomintroll) were used to advertise Yhdyspankki (Union Bank) in Finland. Tove illustrated the ads by herself. As accompaniment there were always a short funny story featuring Moomin characters, including Hemulen, to promote saving money among children, associating the Moomin characters with the positive message of saving. These advertisements were published between 1956-1958 in small circulation children's publications Extremely rare and hard to find Moomin rarities. Size 20,5 x 27 cm, in good condition.
