This amazing 4 Face totem pole comes from the Pacific Northwest. It is hand carved and hand painted and our best guess is that it came from the late sixties to early seventies. It is in remarkable condition and the colors are still quite bright. On the front left part of the mouth in the middle there are a couple of small chips, however other than that it's in pretty darn perfect condition. We do believe this to be a fairly rare object, especially outside of the tribal realms. There is some amazing symbolism going on throughout this totem pole with the crow on top being the obvious first expression. The meaning of the Crow symbol signifies wisdom. According to Native American legends and myths some tribes believed that the Crow had the power to talk and was therefore considered to be one of the wisest of birds.
