Asahi Shimbun 朝日新聞 Japanese Bronze Paper and similar items

Offered for your consideration is this nice antique bronze from Japan. It has the name Asahi Shimbun (????) on top decorated with bamboo leaves. Appear to be a paper weight. 6 inches long and 7/8 inches wide. Weighs 289.2 grams. Nice condition, seeing aged patina. The high points are shinny and you can see how finely rated it is. Nice historical memorabilia. Asahi Shimbun was founded in the late 1800s and I believe this piece was made around the turn of the last century. Shipping methods: I found FedEx frame/artwork box is the best deal for shipping. The box costs $20 and is included in the shipping charge.
