Melgisorb Plus Absorbant Alginate Dressing
Melgisorb Plus absorbs large amounts of wound exudate. When absorbing, the alginate fibres form a soft moist gel, giving a moist environment conducive to wound healing. The gel can easily be removed by irrigating with 0.9% saline.
Features:
- Highly absorbent
- Does not adhere to the wounds site when gelled
- Suitable for cavity wounds
- Creates a gel on contact with exudate or solutions containing sodium ions (saline)
- Soft/pliable/conformable
- Can be cut to shape
- Non-sensitizing
