HIGH ALTITUDE NATURALS? Reseda Absolute Oil is extracted from the Reseda Odorata (Mignonette) plant, a native of Egypt and the shores of the Mediterranean, also known by common names: Mignonette, Egyptian Mignonette, Sweet Reseda, Egyptian Rock Rocket.
Mignonette has been grown in the Grasse region of France for perfumery purpose. The Mignonette absolute has an intense, sweet, violet-like and fruity odor with a green nuance, and rich in aspirones - natural constituents of tobacco aroma derived from carotenoid precursors, and an important aroma constituent of tea essential oil and aroma formator.
Today Reseda is mainly used in cosmetics, perfumery, and potpourri.
