Interesting suitcase from days long ago. Probably not going to be used as one tray but would be fantastic as a prop or statement piece/accent piece for a decorator or set designer.
Please note last photo does show a tear about three inches long. Repair with super glue and you won?t have another issue but we will leave that for the buyer.
Additionally it looks as though at one time there was some water damage in the inside or at least discoloration. No issues and no weakness as a result.
Other similar sales/auctions have described it as Alligator skin but we believe it?s faux and not real.
There is leather damage/wear which can be cleaned up and re dyed but we think it adds to the charm as a decorator piece.
Dimensions are 15?X 10?X 7? (grading down to under 6 inches at top).
We used brasso on the SAMSONITE name plate and it polished easily. You could do the same with the locks and make it pop. We just wanted to show a before and after.
