Divine Mercy and St Faustina Double Sided Medal This is a very special medal, with the Divine Mercy, Jesus, on one side, and St Faustina, His messenger, on the other. The Divine Mercy image shows rays of red light coming out of Jesus' heart for the blood and pale blue for the water which flowed after he died and his side was pierced by the soldier's lance. This was the image given to Saint Faustina of Poland in the 1930's which Jesus wanted to be given to the world as a sign of his great mercy upon us, even as we are committing the gravest atrocities against each other. He is Mercy and he wants us to be merciful to others. Sue Kouma Johnson painted the Divine Mercy image in watercolor and colored pencils and the St Faustina image was done in pencil. I had tiny prints made, and crafted them into charms, pendants and ornaments. I cut the glass by hand and use lead free solder around the edges. The same image is on both sides. The sizes are small (5/8" wide), medium (3/4" wide), and large (1" wide).
