Descripción del Artículo
Antique Real Photo Postcard. Depicting a dirt road, business district scene in Hartley, Iowa. Shown in our closeup views include the post office; Dr. Fletcher office sign in upper floor window; Broders Bros. Tagge General Store with women's dresses, hats and fabric displayed in the shop window; and a barber shop pole on the street corner. Divided back, postmarked 1910 from Hartley, Iowa. Condition: This is an original photo postcard, not a copy or reproduction. It is in excellent condition. Comments: Hartley is a city in O'Brien County, Iowa, United States. The population was 1,605 in the 2020 census. An online site indicates the Broders Bros. and Tagge General Store operated successfully until the Great Depression. Once the Depression was over, the store reopened with much fanfare and thrived until the family was run out of town by the KKK for their commitment to Catholicism.
