This beautiful small oval bowl from Noritake Nippon is a lovely antique that was hand-painted with intricate raised (moriage) beadwork and other detailed design elements in high quality gold gilding. This is a stunning piece of Japanese artistry. The gold gilding adds a touch of elegance to the design, making it a perfect addition to any collection or display. Approximately sized 7.5" long x 4.25" wide x 2" tall (off the table), this is a small serving piece appropriate for mints, jam, relish, toppings, etc. Crafted in Nippon / Japan in the early 1900s (prior 1921), this tray / platter is a wonderful example of Japanese culture and heritage. It is also a unique and rare find, perfect for collectors of Asian artifacts. Please note that this piece was made over 100 years ago but looks near new. This bowl is in lovely condition and was lovingly safeguarded for over a 100 years. There is no major damage or signs of excessive wear. A minor level of gilding is missing but is present on about 85% of the piece.
