2 Vintage Pleasant Hill Kentucky Shaker Community Recipe Cookbooks. Books dated 1970 and 1977. Both are reprints of original.
See pictures for best description of these two related recipe books from Pleasant Hill, Kentucky, "We Make You Kindly Welcome" 1970 (14th ed 1989) is 76 pages. Welcome Back to Pleasant Hill 1977 (5th Ed 1989) is 89 pages. Pictures also give a good idea of content. Books both have seen some use and have wear and stains. Both still very usable. Neither is marked up by pen or pencil. Recipes are after Shaker traditions. I can personally attest the recipes I have highlighted from the 1970 book caused me to gain 5 pounds while working at Pleasent Hill in 1972.
