An authoritative account of the military installation that was at the cutting edge of aviation and the frontiers of space by an informed pilot and top aviation writer, who also wrote some pretty good mysteries featuring Virgil Tibbs.
This somewhat scarce book also includes a section of eight pages of official U.S. Air Force photographs.
