Descripción del Artículo
Originally The Fort Douglas Club, it has as since been renamed The Hidden Valley Country Club in Sandy Utah. The Fort Douglas Club was incorporated as a member-owned, nonprofit club and opened Valentine's Day, 1928. The first members were civilian golf and polo members of the Officers Club of Fort Douglas, and they considered it a golf, polo, tennis and social club.
The club was initially created to improve public relations between the military administrators at Fort Douglas and the local civilian population.
In 1997, the Equity members of the Fort Douglas/Hidden Valley Country Club voted to sell the Fort Douglas clubhouse to the James L. White Jewish Community Center, and the Fort Douglas reference was dropped from the club name. Proceeds from the sale of the former clubhouse were allocated to construct a new clubhouse in Sandy that members enjoy today.
This trophy was presented to Major H L Taylor as the winner of what we assume was a golf tournament. We reached out to an email address (with photos) but have yet to receive a response.
We have found no references to a Major H.L. Taylor.
Would love to send this back where it originated from but will offer up to anyone looking to add trophies to a clubhouse or home bar.
Will ship USPS with tracking to winning buyer
