WWII, U.S. ARMY, VISOR, CAP, EAGLE, OVERSIZED, HALLMARKED GEMSCO N.Y.
These oversized ones were mostly and always seen being worn by the officers and pilots in the Army Air Force, AAF during WWII. This visor eagle is die stamped from a 2.3mm piece of sheet brass and plated with a low karat gold. This is why this eagle has a brassy appearance rather than golden yellow. Original thumb screw. This bird has not been cleaned and displays wonderful patina.
