?Condition: Excellent, no metal wear, no oxidation, shiny gold tone plate *read below for manufacturing errors on this piece ?Size: 2.25 inches long by 2.25 inches wide at the tip of the leaves ?Colors: Gold, brown, red, orange-brown ?Marks: Signed Coro twice, once on the pin assembly, once on the stem of the leaves ?Era: 1940s-1954 Coro added the copyright symbol to their jewelry in 1955 so this brooch predates that addition ?Materials: Full cast metal, enamel ?Style/Features: Double signed Coro autumn foliage brooch in excellent condition. Fall color enamel covers three maple leaves for the perfect fall piece. With a cut leaf design, the center of leaves are raised for a terrific 3D effect. There are some manufacturing errors on this piece. One is the pin assembly has a single rivet holding it to the brooch. Because of the width it tends to rock a bit move on the rivet. Pin assembly is stable, it just wasn't a good design for this brooch. Second at magnification there are some bubbles in the enamel. This isn't wear damage but popped enamel bubbles (last pic) from point of manufacture. It isn't unusual for hand painted pieces of this age but should be noted. The condition of the gold tone plate makes up for any manufacturing errors. It's bright shiny. This really is a perfect fall pin for coats, dresses, scarves.
