(8) Eight Antique Photographs, including three snapshots and one Carte de Visite (CDV) of John Rice Flint and his wife Hattie (Wilkins) Flint; two cabinet photos of their son Levi Richard Flint; and two photographs of John W. Flint who was most likely the son of Levi. The photos of John Rice Flint and wife Hattie include a young and beautiful CDV of Hattie taken by the F.H. Shurburne studio in Maine; a snapshot of John in his Game Warden attire; and two snapshots of John and Hattie together in their later years. The two cabinet photos of Levi Richard Flint were both taken in studios in Monson, Maine. The photo of John W. Flint was taken in 1942 in Brewer, Maine and appears to be a high school graduation portrait; and there is also a larger photo of John W. Flint when he was a young boy. Condition: These are original photographs, not copies or reproductions. They are all in excellent condition. Comments: An on-line genealogy search reveals John Rice Flint was born March 1, 1862 at Monson, Maine, son of Levi C. Flint and Sarah Elizabeth (Rice) Flint. John married Hattie Wilkins on May 30, 1884. Hattie was born in Canada about May 1865. Her brother, George Hargraves Wilkins, who managed the Portland-Monson Slate Company, was living in the Flint household at the time of the 1910 Census. John Rice Flint was a lumberman and served in the Maine Legislature from 1917 until 1925. He and Hattie had at least one child Levi Richard Flint, born September 19, 1893. Levi married Charlotte Levina Dyer, and died 1972.
