We did not try to remove it but should be easy to do if you wish to do so. It is, like the rest of the piece, very clean. Condition: Sturdy with a few small chips in veneer as shown in photos. Backboard is split as shown. Measurements: 52.5" tall (overall height), 32" high from floor to above drawer, 17" deep, and 35" wide. Two inside shelves are 11 inches deep.
