Authentic, Vintage Black and White Promotional Photograph of actor Danny Thomas. He is depicted installing a sign that reads "Amos Jacobs Hardware." Although it is not known from which movie or television show this scene is derived, it is known that Danny's real birth name was "Amos" and that he used the name Amos Jacobs early in his radio career. Date and publisher of photo unknown. Measures approximately 9 x 7. Condition: This is an original photograph, not a copy or reproduction. It is in very good condition with some crinkles. Comments: Danny Thomas (born Amos Muzyad Yaqoob Kairouz; January 6, 1912 - February 6, 1991) was an American nightclub comedian, singer, actor, producer, and philanthropist whose career spanned five decades. He created and starred in one of the most successful and long-running situation comedies in the history of American network television, "The Danny Thomas Show." In addition to guest roles on many of the comedy, talk, and musical variety programs of his time, his legacy includes a lifelong dedication to fundraising for charity.
