This handmade pendant is a hammered teardrop shaped frame with lapis lazuli wire wrapped in a herringbone pattern. The pendant hangs from an 18” (princess length) copper-plated brass chain with handmade copper clasp. This is a versatile and eye-catching design suitable for any occasion including casual wear, business attire, or a night out. It is not treated with a lacquer or wax. Copper naturally oxidizes over time and develops a patina. Some people love that look and some prefer to keep it shiny. Slow the oxidization process by wiping your copper jewelry with a soft clean cloth before and after each use to keep it clean. You can easily clean oxidized copper jewelry and return it to bright and shiny by soaking it in a mixture of lemon juice and salt for 30-60 seconds, rinse with water, and dry. Try it with a penny. NOTE: LAPIS LAZULI is sensitive to acids and should not use the lemon juice soaking method. Instead, use a toothbrush to scrub ketchup on the copper, avoiding the Lapis as much as possible. Then rinse and dry.
