Descripción del Artículo

Vintage 8x10 in. US single-weight glossy restrike photograph (not a vintage original photo but one that was printed from the original negative at a later time) from the classic 1940's horror comedy, ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN, released in 1948 by Universal Pictures and directed by Charles Barton. The Wolf Man (Lon Chaney Jr. tries to warn a dimwitted porter (Lou Costello) that Dracula (Bela Lugosi) wants his brain for Frankenstein monster's (Glenn Strange) body. The image features a comic interior shot inside the hotel room of Larry Talbot (Lon Chaney Jr.) as Wilbur (Lou Costello) ponders whether to take or leave pieces of fruit in Talbot's room as The Wolf Man stands right behind him. Chaney's make-up, created by the renowned Bud Westmore, can be clearly appreciated in this shot. It is in fine- condition with a three-hole punch that straddles the edge of the bottom border with small areas of paper loss around the punches. The image quality is very sharp with fine detail and great contrast.
