Descripción del Artículo

Vintage original Third Draft script from the popular 1980's hotel-themed television drama, HOTEL (AKA Arthur Hailey's Hotel), executive-produced by Aaron Spelling and Douglas S. Cramer. It is from Season 2, Episode 24, which was entitled Obsessions, in which a jury is sequestered in the St. Gregory. A soap star on a publicity tour is staying at the hotel and encounters an obsessed fan. The cast includes James Brolin, Connie Sellecca, Shea Farrell, Nathan Cook, Michael Spound, Shari Belafonte, Anne Baxter, Jaime Lyn Bauer, Susan Blakely, and Andrews Stevens. This Third Draft script was written by Robert E. Swanson and dated June 27, 1984. It consists of 52 pages on pink stock which have been 3-hole punched and bound with two metal grommets between a medium green cardstock front and back cover. It is complete and in overall very fine condition. There are two small creases on the bottom left corner of the front cover which affect the first six interior pages; a handwritten name (Pete Johnson?) in black ink in the top right corner of the front cover (who does not appear to be affiliated with this production); and light signs of wear and a small section of stains in the top left corner of the back cover with one small stain in the bottom half of the cover near the left edge. Hotel is an American primetime soap opera series which aired on ABC from September 21, 1983, to May 5, 1988, in the timeslot following Dynasty. Based on Arthur Hailey's 1965 novel of the same name (which had also inspired a 1967 feature film), the series was produced by Aaron Spelling and set in the elegant and fictitious St. Gregory Hotel in San Francisco (changed from the New Orleans setting of the novel and film). Establishing shots of the hotel were filmed in front of the Fairmont San Francisco atop the Nob Hill neighborhood. Episodes followed the activities of passing guests, as well as the personal and professional lives of the hotel staff.
