INTERESTING ESTATE SALE FIND.....
"BEHAVE YOURSELF DEPUTY"
ANTIQUE KNIFE....I BELIEVE IT IS FROM THE LATE 1800's TO EARLY 1900's. Single sided bowie or hunting type. Looks to be CARBON STEEL with a wood handle. Marked "LAMSON GOODNOW MFG CO.", "MADE IN USA", and "8145" on the blade. REALLY COOL AND OLD leather sheath. The sheath is marked "DEPUTY". and has STAR shaped cut out on each end. The blade has an etching or print that states "BEHAVE YOURSELF".
SEE PICTURES. I dont know much about it other than it is a really cool knife. The knife is old for sure. The sheath may or may not be newer. Please use your best judgement.
Condition: Usual condition for an antique knife. No broken edges and still nice and strong.
Knife is just under 14" long. Blade is 8 3/4".
It will be protected well and insured.
